SkyTrace

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 1, 2026

Information the app processes

When you grant location permission and start recording, SkyTrace may process location-related data such as latitude, longitude, timestamp, altitude, speed, heading, route points, distance, duration, replay progress, and correction results.

Account data

SkyTrace may use Firebase Authentication for anonymous sign-in and future Google sign-in. The app may store a user profile in Cloud Firestore under users/{uid}, including UID, account status, provider type, app version, locale, timezone, platform, and timestamps such as createdAt, lastLoginAt, and lastSeenAt.

Local-first track storage

Recorded trip history is stored locally on your device first. Current cloud data is limited to account/profile metadata and settings unless a future version explicitly enables cloud sync for trip metadata.

How data is used

Data is used to provide live maps, flight recording, history, replay, route correction, export, backup, account state, settings, and support for account deletion requests. SkyTrace does not use your location history for advertising profiles.

Third-party services

The app may request map styles, tiles, fonts, or labels from map providers. Firebase services may process authentication and database metadata. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy practices.

Your controls

You can stop recording, deny or revoke location permission, delete local history, export or back up records, sign out, uninstall the app, or request account deletion.
